Chidia tapu (Bird island)............ When I used to hear this name before going to Andaman, it seemed very strange. Do only birds live on this island
Well, we were on the island of chidiya tapu. About 4 kilometers before coming here, very dense forest starts. It is a reserve forest and after crossing the forest comes the seashore. Hills keep coming in the way. One special thing of this place that I remember was that when we were coming back from Diglipur to Port Blair on the Andaman Trunk Road i.e. ATR, there used to be the distance of chidiya tapu instead of Port Blair on ours. This means that this place will have more geographical importance.
When we reached the chia tapu, as soon as we got down from the auto, we went to a viewpoint at the height there. We were getting quite a good view from this point. It was about to be sunset. Let me tell you one thing about this place that people come here especially to watch the sunset. The sunset here is very famous and many people get amazing photos here and we were not so fortunate to get the full and round sun-colored blood-red but even we witnessed how the sun with his full strength tried to found of his way through the clouds.
When the weather is so great that it seems that it’ll rain now and then the biggest loss to the nomad is that it very difficult to make the sky stay clear of the sky. During our stay of ten days, the clouds maintained pleasant weather for eight days. We went into the offseason. In Andaman, the rains start in April itself and the monsoon starts around May but I did not know this while booking my tickets. At this time, there is very little visiting of tourists here. There were two groups of tourists with us that day. There were eight to ten people in one and fifteen to sixteen in the other. The second group was from Gurgaon and they were only on five six-day tours, covering Port Blair, Havelock, and local places only.
Nice place to see sunset in port Blair ,we too saw sunset here but there is one park also in which sit outs are wooden
