Rangat's hotel Hawabeil nest irritated us a lot. Neither the location was good nor the food. There was no scope to get any auto around the hotel. We could not go by a local bus, so we first came 15 km away to Rangat for getting an auto and then went back from the same route and now we have to catch a bus from Rangat which will go again 15 km via the same route. It's our fifth round on this road from yesterday.
But the attractive places of Rangat did not disappoint us whether it was between Amkunj or Panchavati and Sangam, etc. Every place was delightful. We came back to Rangat and got off at the bus stand. Gave money to the auto driver and started looking for something to eat, then saw coconuts at a shop in front of the bus stand. We had eaten nothing since morning and had a breakfast of coconut water. When we went to the bus stand, we came to know that there is a local bus at 9:30 am for Mayabandar and at 11.30 am the express which would have run from Port Blair at 4:30 in the morning. We got up at four-thirty in the morning and left for Rangat and roamed from five-thirty, so by eight o'clock we had seen all the places.
It was just eight-thirty now and the local bus was only going to Mayabundar. After that, a connecting bus would be available for Diglipur. On the other way, we had to wait till eleven-thirty. There was a chance of getting a seat in the local bus, but it may not have been found in the express because it is coming from Port Blair, so we decided to go on the local bus itself.
One advantage of the local bus was that we could take a photo of any place we want comfortably. On the way, there is a place which is quite a big town similar to Rangat, Billi Ground. Possibly because of this name, people rise cats here in large numbers.
To spend our time of an hour, we entered the canteen of the bus stand and took in breakfast puri and vada and started eating it. We were all full in 75 INR When stomach worship was done, we started waiting for the bus. Then someone told me that the local bus runs through the main intersection of Rangat and comes here later. You may not get a seat there, but not here.
We were shocked. They have made such a big bus stand why to make us continue our trip standing. The Main Chowk will be around 300 meters from the bus stand. We picked up our bags and started to walk. When we go there, the bus was full and we could get only one seat. On that seat, we made our elderly fellow Rajeshji sit, and we sat on the bonnet near the driver. He said that this is a local bus. Today is Sunday and going ahead, a lot of seats will get vacant near the church.
